Madison and Bryce waiting for the run to start
VICTORY!!
The passing off of the water, as Brandon heads to the finish
This is a 5k run that Portland has every year at what is called the Rose Festival. The whole week is filled with activities, parades and much more...the starlight run is where people run a 3 mile either wearing company logos, funny outfits and this year it looked as if some runners had hardly anything on. Anyway...it is a lot of fun to watch and Brandon has participated the last two years with Hollywood Ent. Then after the run there is the "STARLIGHT" parade...all the participates (bands, dancers, floats,& whatever else) are all lite up. This parade is done at night so you can see all the colorful lights. It is usually a blast to see, but this year the traffic was really bad, and I had to be @ work by 11pm. Our plan was to see Brandon run which was at 8pm and then go home because we wouldn't have time to see the parade, which started right after the run ended. So I dropped Brandon off so he could head to check in...then began the search of finding a parking spot for the kids and I so we could go see Brandon run. Let's just say that I got really turned around, frustrated and was running out of time that I just decided to park! The kids and I had parked so far away from where we needed to be to see the race, we got to the start with 30 seconds to spear. Then by the time Brandon meet up with us after, I had forgotten where I had parked! I still after 8 years do not know my way around "stupid" downtown Portland! Let's just say that after walking all over downtown trying to find where I had parked ... 20 blocks later...with millions of people it seemed..and in the dark we finally found the parking lot where our car was. Brandon was so mad at me...mostly because he had just run 3 miles and then had to walk 20 blocks throughout downtown, trying to get around the parade that had started. We had started to the car about 8:50pm, and arrived to the parking lot about 10pm...it was crazy! Now realizing that I had parked in a lot that was surrounded by the parade route, so we were blocked in until the parade was over. We finally got out of Portland about 10:45...and seeing as I had to go home and change for work and then drive there! Yep you guessed it was about 15 mins late. Brandon stated that if we did this again next year, either I was not driving or I would have to miss the run altogether..haha! I agreed!

Wow! Brandon is sooooo good looking. You are lucky to have such a stud-muffin husband. You should make him enchiladas for dinner tonight.
