For those who maybe didn't know, my parents left June 2008 to serve in Bogota, Colombia. I have always admired their strength in the gospel, learned by their example, and even relied on their testimonies growing up. I know there were many times when they thought what they told me went in one ear and out the other, but in my heart I always knew they were right.
As soon as they arrived in Bogota, they found out they were going to actually be in a town I believe was on the outskirts of Bogota, called Barbosa...they have been busy with gardening projects ,weekly English and music lessons , and even witnessed their first traffic accident. My parents have always had the ability to come up with great ideas for serving others. For example, hearing about their secret Santa missions at Christmas time...I can't really go into detail because there might be people reading this that would let the "cat out of the bag." But little things to serve others to see them smile, leaving them puzzled or so confused they actually called the police...haha!
Mom and Dad I just want to let you know that we love you and miss you...but at the same time know that you are serving the Lord and he needs those welling to teach and bring his children back to him. We are proud of you!
