Dana has released a BEAST!

So the other day I was reading one of the blogs about coupon shoping at Target. So I printed out all the coupons needed and went yesterday to get the deals! I ended up getting a cashier who knew nothing about scanning coupons, so a supervisor joined him to help. She was giving me a hard time about everything, the items I was getting, the amount of coupons I had and even asked 3 times where I was getting them. I told her and luckily had brought the printed info about Target's coupon policy as advised about using one Manufactored coupon with a Target coupon. It is kind of funny how I knew more about thier policy more than they did. Anyway I got some deals.

(4) Aveeno Baby Lotion 8oz $13.96-$8=1.49 each

(3) Formula 409 products 32oz each $3.14

(1) Kraft BBQ sauce $.99-$1=Free

(2) Dove Go Fresh Deodorant $6.58-$6=$.29 each

Total Before Coupons =$24.67

Paid=$9.68

And actually it showed on my receipt that they had missed a $2 off coupon..bummer, but that is ok.

Well I hope that I am not boring everyone...but I have become really excited about this whole coupon thing. So again I went today to finish using the coupons I had that they didn't allow me to use yeaterday. I have some coupons for $1 off coppertone travel size and they said that my coupon excluded travel size(however it didn't) but I just said ok and took my coupons back.

So I Think I Am Catching On...

Well I think I have a problem now...I am addicted to coupon saving!  I have been to the store now 3 times in the last day & 1/2.  The posting below was AMAZING! However it was with Dana's help. These other two trips totaled $35.97~ that is if you subtract the $22 off received in coupons that I will get to spend on other transactions.

I Have Been Sucked In!

Ok, I have to start out by saying that at first I was not a believer.  Everytime I got together with my sister-in -law Dana, she raved about her new experince with coupon shopping.  I just sat and would listen to all the great deals she talked about getting, but in my mind was thinking that seems time consuming and questioned...How much money are you really seeing back in saving. It can't be any cheaper than going to Winco or Grocery Outlet!  Well I have to say I was wrong!  

So this last weekend we all had a BBQ together and the girls got chatting..as we all know we do, and the coupon thing came up again.  Only this time Dana had recruited Heidi, my other sister-in-law.  They prceeded to tell me that Heidi had gone to the store that day and got about 10 items for free....Yes, FREE!  I said to myself, if others are really doing this, I can too.  So this morning I called Dana, she walked me through what I needed to know & do.  I took about 20 minutes printing off coupons, it would have only taken 10 if my printer hadn't run out of ink.  So I drove to Brandon's parents house and printed off the others.  Getting things for FREE can't always be problem free...right?  Well I got my coupons and I was off to Albertsons.  

I Placed my items on the belt, my calculation left me expecting to pay about $2.47 for all the items, but....I only ended up paying $ .90 cents! 

Original Prices for items= $32.20

My Price=$ .90 cents

I was hooked! I had the hugest grin on my face. Thanks Dana

Yesterday I was invited to Bryce's classroom for their Spring Showcase.  The students were excited to show off their big project for the year~  From start to finished they learned about the life cycle of a chickens.  Bryce would come home telling about every process that was taking place in his classroom.  The eggs were put in incubators and watched until they finally hatched. Did you know it takes just 21 days?  The day the chicks hatched happen to be the same day his teacher was trying to do some testing for the end of the year.  As soon as one student noticed the chicks hatching, all the students rushed the cage, leaving the testing scores inconclusive. "Oh

 well", she said.  I don't think she would have gotten them to sit there if she tried...after all 21 days to a 2nd grader seems like forever I am sure.  

6 chicks we born, the multi colored one with it's back facing you happens to be Bryce's favorite! Bryce states he hatched from a brown egg and is the "ugly duckling" of the bunch.  Except I think he is adorable.  Bryce felt such a connection to this chick he even named him Josh. I was telling Brandon about Bryce's chick Josh and we remembered Bryce stating one time that he had wanted his name to be Josh.  So I guess he came to the reality that this was never going to happen, so he lived his fantasy through his new furry little friend.
