Well I am still alive after all the crazy things that we have been dealing with the last several weeks.
First, I don't know if all of you know but I started full-time at work. I went into work one day and was called into my boss's office and was told that they were letting one of our teammates go. I then was presented with a part-time & full-time position. Except to find out that I didn't even have that choice. It was full-time or no job! I went home and talked to Brandon about it and we decided that we would do this for alittle while to get debt paid off and then I was free to stay home. We have a goal of being debt free set and have been doing what we can to meet it.
Bryce finished school just about a week ago and it has been really tough with him home during the day. There are more arguments/fighting between him, Kayla & Maddy. Well wish me luck!! Bryce has been wearing glasses for about 2 months now and the first pair was a $350 pair that was taken off in PE and left and have never been seen again. New ones had been ordered and finally came, hopefully he can keep track of them. ( Bryce just informed me that he can't find his glasses)....sigh!
Kayla & Maddy are going to be starting kindergarten this fall and are very excited. They both will be in the same morning class and actually have Bryce's teacher Mrs, LeRud that he had. I am alittle worried though about all the stuff that I need to have done by the time they start in September. Before with Bryce it was 1 backpack, 1 set of school materials, some new clothes/shoes for him. Now I have to provide twice the backpacks, triple the school supplies & triple the clothes/shoes...oh man!!
Kayla & Maddy also had to start a Hep A shot series. They had their 1st shot last week and that was so much fun, and to think I have to take them back in a couple months for another set. Lucky me! It was actually pretty funny. Neither of them have had to have shots for sometime now, so while at the doctors appointment they asked "mommy are we going to have to have a shot?" I said, "I am not sure, we will see what the doctor says." Well they did have to have them, and I knew they would at least have to have one, because the Hep A is required to be able to start kindergarten. So the nurse came into the room, I had Kayla go first. Usually she is my brave one out of the two. Not today, she sat on my lap with one arm tight behind my back and the other out front with me holding it against my body. I tried to get her to count and see that it would be over by the time she got to 5, but all that came out was screaming and crying. I look over at Maddy who was in the chair across the room watching (my mistake) screaming as her sister was being poked with the needle knowing that she was next. By the time it was over I had two crying/screaming girls who were not very happy with me or the nurse. Next time I think I will make separate appointments. Yeah it is quicker to take them both at the same time, but I don't know if it better!!
We ordered the Living Scriptures for the kids and us. I am excited to get the first videos. There is also a Prophets series of videos that I am excited for, they remind me of some books that my parents had about the Prophets and their lives. I am tired of the junk that is on TV, there is not really a whole lot they can watch anymore without someone calling another person an idiot or stupid...etc. The kids are anticipating the arrival of the movies too.
No word on moving to Chicago. Hollywood is still trying to negotiate contract and so I have no idea what is going to happen there. If no word by the time we get back from our trip in July then we are planning on moving into a rental home and staying for at least a year. Well have to wait and see what happens.
Brandon has been working hard and has had more time to relax after being released from YM's President. He was really excited about not having to get up at 6 am to head to meetings on Sunday mornings. Father's Day is coming up and he deserves to be pampered and shown how much he is appreciated. The kids and I have some great ideas up our sleeves. Then after Father's day we have about 2 weeks before we go on our big summer road trip.
All our extra time is spent as a family doing the things we love. I am wondering when everything is going to slow down.
I am tired!
